Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dry Cleaner Presser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly pressing and finishing garments to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities
- Operate pressing machines and garment finishing equipment with skill and care to achieve crisp, professional results
- Press a variety of clothing items, including suits, dresses, shirts, and uniforms, ensuring they are wrinkle-free and properly shaped
- Handle garments carefully during manual handling processes to prevent damage or distortion
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area to promote a safe and efficient workspace
- Assist with basic laundry tasks as needed, including sorting, folding, and preparing garments for pressing
- Support garment cleaning processes such as dry cleaning when required, adhering to safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client requests and ensuring their garments meet expectations
Skills
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality environments is highly desirable, with familiarity in garment finishing or laundry services
- Knowledge of dry cleaning procedures and garment care techniques
- Proficiency in operating pressing machines and other garment finishing tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling bulky or heavy items
- Strong manual handling skills with attention to detail for quality results
- Basic math skills for measuring and processing garments accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards clients’ needs
- Capable of performing cleaning tasks to maintain a tidy work environment
- Experience with cashiering or cash handling is a plus for managing transactions when necessary
