Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food production, along with a commitment to providing excellent customer service. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products are prepared, packaged, and presented to the highest standards.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including Cookies, pastries, and cakes.
- Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in all baked goods.
- Package baked products for display and sale, ensuring they are attractive and meet food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and utensils.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions about products on the telephone.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely production of baked goods.
- Handle food safely according to health regulations and company policies.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry or catering is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling practices is essential.
- Experience in food production or working in a restaurant environment is a plus.
- Basic knife skills for cutting and preparing ingredients are beneficial.
- A strong desire to learn about baking techniques and improve culinary skills is highly valued.
- Excellent customer service skills to enhance the customer experience in our bakery.
