Responsibilities
- Skillfully prepare a variety of sushi rolls, ensuring consistency in taste, appearance, and quality
- Follow established recipes and presentation standards to create visually appealing dishes
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in compliance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
- Assist in inventory management by properly storing ingredients and notifying supervisors of shortages
- Stay updated on new sushi trends and techniques to continually enhance your craft
- Uphold all health and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Qualifications
- Prior experience working as a sushi chef or in a similar culinary role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi ingredients and techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff
- Passion for Japanese cuisine and culinary creativity
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
