The Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of SOC Analysts. This position plays a key role in protecting company assets by overseeing alarm activity, responding to real-time incidents, and proactively addressing physical security concerns in stores. The SOC Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and operational oversight to ensure the SOC operates effectively 24/7.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise SOC operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all incoming alarms and incidents are reviewed, documented, and resolved in a timely manner.
Serve as the escalation point for critical events, including break-ins and large-scale thefts, coordinating with stores, field leadership, and law enforcement.
Provide hands-on training, coaching, and real-time feedback to SOC Analysts to maintain consistency and accuracy in incident handling.
Balance workload distribution among analysts during shifts to ensure efficiency and effective coverage.
Assist in investigations by pulling reports, reviewing video, and ensuring proper incident documentation.
Identify patterns, trends, and vulnerabilities in alarm activity and theft events, escalating to leadership as needed.
Participate in the development and refinement of SOC procedures, ensuring they reflect current security priorities.
Prepare shift handoff reports and maintain clear communication between teams and leadership.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the security and loss prevention.
Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, Loss Prevention, law enforcement, or related security field.
Previous leadership or shift-lead experience preferred; ability to supervise while performing hands-on analyst work required.
Proficiency in alarm monitoring platforms, video surveillance systems, and incident reporting tools.
Strong decision-making and crisis management skills with the ability to act quickly in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with retail teams, field leaders, and law enforcement.
Ability to multi-task and manage team responsibilities in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.
Flexible to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
