Carpenter / Remodeling Craftsman
Location: north suburbs, northwest suburbs and northside of chicago
Type: Full-Time / Steady Year-Round Work
Pay: Competitive hourly rate based on skill ($30–$45/hr) + performance bonuses
About the Role
Forge and Oak is a design-build remodeling company that takes pride in creating beautiful, high-end interior spaces with solid craftsmanship and attention to detail. We’re looking for a well-rounded carpenter who knows their way around all phases of interior remodel work — from framing and trim to flooring, doors, and cabinetry.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Interior remodeling: kitchens, baths, basements, and trim work
- Light framing, drywall, flooring, doors, finish carpentry, tile, paint, handyman
- Reading drawings, taking measurements, and planning ahead and offer input during estimation phase
- Working with subs and other trades to keep jobs moving smoothly
- Keeping a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Representing Forge and Oak with professionalism and respect for the client’s home
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of carpentry or remodeling experience
- Strong skills in at least a few of the following: framing, drywall, trim, flooring, cabinet install, paint or tile
- Reliable transportation and your own hand tools
- Ability to work independently and take direction
- Pride in your craft and a good attitude on site
- Respectful and polished communication with homeowners and team members
