Summer Camp – Certified TECH/STEAM & Academic Instructor
Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Position Details
- Position: Certified TECH/STEAM & Academic Instructor
- Location: South San Francisco and Millbrae, CA
- Employment Type: Seasonal / Part-Time
- Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
- Work Location: In-Person
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging TECH/STEAM activities, including coding, robotics, engineering, and hands-on technology projects
- Provide academic instruction and enrichment in subjects such as Math, Science, English, and Social Studies
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Support classroom management and student engagement
- Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, classroom technology, and activity supplies
- Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and proper care of equipment and materials
- Supervise students during program activities and transitions
- Collaborate with fellow instructors and program staff to ensure a successful camp experience
- Track student participation and provide feedback when needed
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a valid TECH/STEAM, Academic Instruction, Teaching, Tutoring, Educational, or related instructor certification
- Must be willing and able to provide a copy of certification(s) during the hiring and onboarding process
- Experience teaching or instructing students in classroom, camp, tutoring, or enrichment settings
- Strong knowledge of one or more areas including coding, robotics, engineering, computer science, mathematics, science, or academic enrichment
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Positive, professional, dependable, and student-focused attitude
- Willingness to assist with classroom preparation, setup, organization, and cleanup responsibilities
- Must be willing and able to work at sites located in both South San Francisco and Millbrae
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python, Scratch, JavaScript, LEGO Robotics, Arduino, or similar technologies
- Experience teaching academic subjects such as Math, Science, English, or Social Studies
- Summer camp, after-school, enrichment, or classroom teaching experience
- Ability to adapt instruction to different grade levels and learning styles
- Experience developing lesson plans and hands-on learning activities

This is a seasonal summer position; however, instructors who demonstrate exceptional performance, professionalism, flexibility, and reliability may be considered for continued employment and placement in CAM Edu programs during the upcoming school semester.
