Duties
- Coordinate dispatching of freight and transportation assets using systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and clients via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette and clear communication
- Utilize GPS, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and transportation management systems to monitor vehicle locations, plan routes, and optimize logistics operations
- Enter data accurately into transportation management platforms.
- Manage shipping schedules and coordinate with warehouse teams for efficient shipping & receiving processes
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism, providing updates on shipments and resolving issues promptly
- Support analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the supply chain
Skills
- Strong understanding of GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools to support routing and logistics optimization
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism and clarity
- Strong typing skills for efficient data entry and documentation accuracy
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
