Lead Counter Server
Shredders Pizza is looking for a dependable, energetic Lead Counter Server to join our small team.
This is a hands-on, guest-facing position that's a great fit for someone with restaurant experience who is comfortable working independently and likes staying busy. You'll take orders, help guests, manage carryout and online orders, and work closely with the kitchen to keep everything moving during service.
Because we're a small restaurant, we're looking for someone who can learn the operation, stay organized during a rush, and handle the front counter confidently without needing constant direction.
What You'll Do
- Take dine-in and carryout orders and provide great guest service
- Monitor and manage incoming online orders
- Adjust online ordering quote times and availability based on kitchen capacity
- Help coordinate the flow of dine-in, carryout, and online orders during busy periods
- Communicate with the kitchen to keep orders organized and service moving
- Keep guests informed about wait times and order status
- Answer phones and assist guests with questions
- Help newer employees learn our systems and service standards
- Handle everyday guest concerns and find solutions when needed
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and side work
- Keep the dining room and service areas clean and organized
- Jump in wherever needed to help the team
What We're Looking For
- Previous restaurant or customer-service experience
- Dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable using restaurant technology and online ordering systems
- Able to prioritize when dine-in, carryout, and online orders are all coming in at once
- Strong communication and guest-service skills
- A sense of urgency and the ability to stay calm during a rush
- Willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
- Someone who enjoys being part of a small team where everyone contributes
