The ALF Administrator/Wellness Director is responsible for the overall management, operations, and clinical oversight of the Assisted Living Facility (ALF). This role ensures compliance with all state regulations, promotes resident well-being, and leads the care team in delivering high-quality services. The ideal candidate is CORE certified and a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with strong leadership and regulatory experience.
Oversee daily operations of the ALF, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain licensure and ensure facility adherence to AHCA (or applicable state authority) requirements.
Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures.
Manage budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents and staff
Supervise and coordinate resident care services.
Conduct health assessments and ensure individualized service plans are developed and followed.
Monitor residents’ health status and coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
Oversee medication management and ensure proper administration practices.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with clinical standards.
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff.
Provide ongoing education and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Ensure staff compliance with required certifications and training.
Promote resident-centered care and quality of life.
Address resident and family concerns promptly and professionally.
Conduct family meetings and maintain open communication.
Ensure compliance with CORE training standards.
Conduct regular audits and quality assurance reviews.
Prepare for and manage state inspections and surveys.
Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.
CORE Certified ALF Administrator (State of Florida or applicable state)
Active RN or LPN license in good standing
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in assisted living, long-term care, or related healthcare setting
Knowledge of state regulations governing assisted living facilities
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
Experience managing an ALF or similar facility
Experience with memory care and/or specialty programs
