Overview
D6 Inc. is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations at our Illinois location. This position plays an important role in keeping communication, records, schedules, and administrative processes organized while supporting leadership, HR, operations, employees, candidates, vendors, and visitors. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, organized, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to support multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to leadership, HR, operations, and other departments as needed.
- Answer and direct phone calls, greet visitors, and serve as a professional first point of contact for employees, candidates, vendors, and guests.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain documents, forms, reports, spreadsheets, and electronic or physical records.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, coordinating calendars, preparing meeting materials, and taking notes when needed.
- Support onboarding, drug testing, training coordination, job fair preparation, and employee paperwork tracking as assigned.
- Collect, distribute, and track internal forms, correspondence, and documentation to the appropriate team members.
- Maintain accurate employee, office, and departmental records while protecting confidential information.
- Assist with data entry, filing, supply inventory, purchase requests, and general office organization.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and external contacts by phone, email, and in person.
- Help promote a positive, team-focused workplace culture aligned with D6 values.
Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous administrative, office support, HR support, customer service, or receptionist experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office technology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Excellent organization, accuracy, follow-through, and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and support multiple departments with professionalism.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
- Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and willingness to support team needs.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
