Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist for our client in New Mexico!
Responsibilities
- Provide independent CRNA coverage across both inpatient and outpatient practice settings.
- Manage cardiothoracic surgery patients in CVICU and step-down unit settings.
- Assist with surgical cases and perform specific bedside procedures as needed.
- Manage an average daily workload of 4 patients per shift.
Qualifications:
- Active state medical license.
- Current life support certifications including ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
- Ability and comfort level to practice completely independently.
- Requirement to reside 90+ miles away from the facility.
Schedule:
- Coverage Needed: ASAP and ongoing, starting around October 1, 2026.
- Shift Structure: Scheduled clinical hours plus beeper call coverage.
- Call Requirements: Must be willing to work weekends and take call coverage as scheduled.
- Credentialing Time Frame: 90 days (Temporary privileges are available).
Skills:
- High degree of clinical autonomy to deliver independent anesthesia care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Strong critical care proficiency in managing CVICU and step-down cardiothoracic surgery patients.
- Hands-on bedside procedure performance and surgical assistance capabilities.
- Adaptability to support flexible scheduling needs, weekend shifts, and call rotations.
All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
