As a team member for the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services (NDDHHS), you will be part of a team who ensures people have access to a high-quality healthcare system that meets people where they are and works with them to achieve recovery.
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver quality nursing care to the clients of Northwest Behavioral Health Clinic (NWBHC) by administering various testing, medications and treatment and other services to clients with behavioral health diagnoses.
You will engage in a variety of tasks, including rooming clients for prescribers and administering oral and injectable medications as ordered. Additionally, you will work with the Open Access team in the intake department where you will obtain vital signs and provide testing for new admissions. This position includes medication delivery and other tasks as determined by the Medical Director and Director of Nursing. Once established in the position, there is opportunity to obtain certification as a pharmacy technician and engage in tasks associated with the onsite pharmacy.

The NWBHC delivers quality nursing care to all clients in accordance with Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Practice Standards developed by the American Nurses Association.
To be considered for this position, you must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing (or registration in another state and meet the eligibility requirements for licensure in ND). You must also be willing to work non-traditional hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position is required to work onsite at Northwest Behavioral Health Clinic in Williston, North Dakota.
