Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (Adult ER)
Duration: 3 months (Extension possible based on performance and client needs)
Shift: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (12-hour shift)
Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Openings: 12 ED RN Positions
Pay: $72/h $75/h W2 Rate (Based on Experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department.
- Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, and prioritize care based on acuity.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and emergency treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and respond appropriately.
- Assist with trauma cases, medical emergencies, cardiac events, and critical care interventions.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.
- Maintain a calm, compassionate, and professional approach while managing multiple high-acuity patients.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (Adult ER) Registered Nurse experience.
- Experience caring for high-acuity adult emergency patients.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, triage, IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency interventions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted New York Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS certification required.
- PALS and TNCC preferred
