Unique Blessings Learning Center is seeking a passionate, energetic, and nurturing VPK Lead Teacher to guide our Voluntary Prekindergarten classroom for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for a teacher who loves children, creates engaging learning experiences, and is committed to preparing students for kindergarten success.
Our center values small-group instruction, individualized learning, strong family partnerships, and inclusive educational practices.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet Florida VPK Lead Instructor requirements and possess one of the following:
- Active CDA (Child Development Associate) or FCCPC (Florida Child Care Professional Credential)
- Associate's Degree or higher in Child Development
- Associate's Degree or higher in another field with:
- Minimum 6 college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- Minimum 480 hours of experience working with children birth through age 8
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in:
- Early Childhood Education
- Preschool Education
- Prekindergarten or Primary Education
- Family and Consumer Sciences
- Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with appropriate Florida teaching certification.
Required Training
Applicants must have completed or be willing to complete:
- Florida VPK Emergent Literacy Requirements
- Implementing Florida Standards in Preschool Classrooms (3 Years Old to Kindergarten)
- Required VPK literacy coursework
- DCF 45-Hour Child Care Training (if applicable)
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Level 2 Background Screening
- Affidavit of Good Moral Character.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate VPK lessons aligned with Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards
- Create a positive, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment
- Conduct ongoing observations and assessments
- Prepare children academically, socially, and emotionally for kindergarten
- Maintain classroom documentation and portfolios
- Communicate professionally with families
- Collaborate with administration and teaching staff
- Ensure compliance with all DCF, licensing, and VPK regulations
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
- Florida Teacher Certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education
- Experience teaching VPK or Pre-K students
- Experience supporting diverse learners and inclusive classrooms
- Familiarity with CLASS, FAST, and Florida VPK standards
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
