Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled OSP Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design and development of outside plant (OSP) telecommunications infrastructure. This role requires a strong background in civil engineering and proficiency in various software tools to ensure efficient project execution. The OSP Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and maintain high-quality network systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop outside plant telecommunications systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation for drafting and designing layouts of OSP infrastructure.
- Collaborate with project managers to create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct site surveys to assess existing conditions and gather data for design purposes.
- Perform debugging and troubleshooting of existing systems to enhance performance and reliability.
- Work closely with several internal departments to ensure the best quality of work possible.
- Participate in product development initiatives, contributing technical expertise to enhance service offerings.
- Maintain accurate documentation of designs, changes, and project progress throughout the lifecycle.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles as they relate to telecommunications infrastructure.
- Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation for drafting and modeling designs.
- Ability to debug complex systems effectively, identifying issues and implementing solutions.
- Excellent project scheduling skills to manage timelines efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring high-quality outputs in all deliverables.
