Duties
- Operate various types of trucks including tractor and Dry Van trailers
- Safely load and unload freight at designated locations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and traffic laws.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and equipment.
- Experience with route driving and navigating various road conditions.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance on vehicles as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
