Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) specializing in Medical/Surgical care to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment, supporting patient recovery and comfort through direct assistance with daily activities, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper documentation.
- Prepare patients for medical procedures by assisting with positioning, hygiene, and necessary equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques, infection control policies, and safe manual handling practices.
- Document patient care activities thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address patient needs promptly.
- Assist with specimen collection such as phlebotomy when trained and authorized, supporting diagnostic processes.
- Support discharge planning by providing patient education on post-care instructions and medication management.
- Participate in ongoing training related to emergency medicine protocols, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, or other specialized areas as required.
MUST HAVE:
- 1 years of CNA experience - [REQUIRED]
- BLS (AHA) - [REQUIRED]
Shift- Days & Nights (36 hours guarantee)
Weekend Requirement: every 3rd weekend
