Position Title: Quality Engineer Reports to: Quality Manager

Responsibilities:
Collect, analyze, investigate, and report out to Production Manager and Quality Manager all production-identified nonconformances.
Manage supplier change notifications: initiate, perform, and communicate to relevant parties our process to evaluate the risk to our customers from the suggested change with the goal of validating the change can still meet our requirements.
Engage in the daily production quality demands and improvements: basic problem solving, data mining and analysis, product validation, etc.
Assist with overseeing the execution of MISCO quality system, which is based on ISO 9001.
Assist in monitoring suppliers’ performance, obtain completed supplier surveys, and conduct audits as relevant.
Analyze failures to implement corrective actions to respond to customer complaints.
With Incoming QC, Production, and Purchasing, address and resolve internal and externally requested corrective actions through formally documented 5Y and/or 8D problem solving techniques.
Assist in maintaining and upgrading end-of-line and Quality-specific testing hardware, systems, and software.
Periodically gather data to prepare presentations to communicate status of company-wide goals to internal parties.
Learn to be backup to Quality Manager’s tasks.
Other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager.
Skills / Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree
· Superb computer competence, including database management
· Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
· Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
· Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management tools
Preferred Qualifications
· Bilingual (English/Hmong) preferred
· Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor, desired but not required

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
