Join the Team Revolutionizing Vehicle Intelligence
At RideController, we're fueled by a passion for disrupting and leading the future of intelligent vehicles. We love building and releasing groundbreaking products that redefine how vehicles, boats, and off-road machines operate—setting the standard for next-generation control systems. Our thoughtful product design, rapid prototyping, and strategic focus mean we prioritize the ideas that truly matter and execute them exceptionally.
You’d get hands-on exposure to the cutting edge of vehicle power and control tech as we assemble, test, and ship the hardware that powers our NEXTGEN platforms. These intelligent devices manage motors, lights, actuators, pumps, and more—communicating seamlessly with apps, touchscreens, and HMIs.
We’re currently searching for a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Electronics Assembly & Production Support team member (20-40 hours per week) to help build and quality-check our circuit boards and systems. This role is based at our headquarters in the Kansas City area (Mission, KS— near downtown KC off I-35). RideController is perfect for someone who wants in a small, fast-moving team rather than getting lost in a big corporate structure—build products that matter and grow with the company.
If you’re tired of dead-end jobs with no impact, endless rules, or no room to learn—and instead want hands-on work, direct contribution to innovative vehicle tech, and the chance to grow in a passionate, results-driven environment—this is your shot. We’re growing strong year-over-year and need dependable help to scale assembly and testing of our control platforms.
In this role, you’ll support the production of our market-leading hardware by assembling circuit boards, soldering components, testing units, building products, and handling packaging tasks like wrapping pallets.
What You’ll Do
· Assemble and solder electronic components (through-hole and/or surface-mount) onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) following work instructions, schematics, and quality standards.
· Perform functional testing and basic troubleshooting of assembled units using tools like multimeters, power supplies, and simple test setups to ensure reliability.
· Build and assemble complete products or subassemblies, including wiring, mounting components, and integrating modules.
· Assist wrapping and prepare pallets/shipments for safe transport, and maintaining organization.
· Support the team with general production tasks: cleaning components, labeling, inspecting for defects, and helping maintain a safe, efficient workspace.
· Learn our products hands-on—power distribution modules, control systems, IoT integration—and contribute ideas to improve processes as you grow.
Who You Are
· Entry-level or early-career with basic hands-on experience (or strong eagerness to learn) in electronics assembly, soldering, or related work—hobby projects, school labs, or prior roles count!
· Comfortable (or willing to train) with soldering irons, hand tools, multimeters, and following assembly instructions/blueprints.
· Detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-focused—with good manual dexterity and attention to quality (no shortcuts on our mission-critical vehicle hardware).
· Self-motivated team player who thrives in a small, dynamic setting and enjoys seeing products come together from components to finished units.
· Available for part-time or full-time hours (20-40 per week), with flexibility to fit production needs—great for students, career changers, or someone looking for an exciting new company.
· Bonus: Any familiarity with electronics, automotive/marine basics, or tools like wire strippers/crimpers is a plus, but we’ll train the right person.
