Schedule: The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm, guaranteed 57hrs a week. They will likely need 1-2 late nights per week.
Compensation & benefits: This position is paid gross with overtime. This position is $45-$50+ hour, [150k - 170k+] and includes PTO, including paid federal holidays, five (5) sick days, two weeks of vacation, and a discretionary performance bonus. Health Care Stipend

- Must be comfortable with traveling with the family. The family will likely spend one (1) week per month at their home upstate New York (2.5 hrs from NYC; train accessible) and take other weekend or week-long trips from time to time that they likely want the nanny to accompany them on (both domestically and abroad).

A loving, professional family in Brooklyn Heights, BK, is looking for an exceptional, career nanny for their two children, 4 & 1.5 by the hire date. This position is open to both live-in or very flexible live-out Nanny. Live-in candidates will have a separate, one-bedroom apartment a short walk from the family's home.
A nanny with lots of energy who can create an engaging, happy, and stimulating atmosphere for their children—lots of engagement with reading, games, educational activities, and active play will excel in this role. The ideal candidate for this position is warm, outgoing, responsible/reliable, caring, kind, patient, flexible, and organized. The nanny must have strong communication skills and is expected to be proactive, tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot issues independently. Lastly, candidates must be passport-ready, college-educated preferred in relevant fields (i.e., Early Childhood Education), and comfortable around dogs. The family has a small Morkie, who is an older “sister” to both children.
Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Safety first, always.
- Collaborating with parents on things such as age-appropriate development, scheduling, discipline, and sleep; while remaining respectful of and able to adhere to the family's parenting decisions.
- Teaching and encouraging qualities in both children such as kindness, curiosity, generosity, respect, and empathy.
- Changing diapers and supporting potty training for the younger child, while reinforcing independence for the 4-year-old.
- Keeping track of children's items (e.g., diapers, wipes, clothing, age-appropriate toys and other educational materials) to ensure they remain well stocked.
- Managing meals, snacks, and related routines (including, planning well-balanced menus and, from time to time, grocery shopping for the children).
- Planning engaging, age-appropriate activities tailored to both a toddler and a preschooler simultaneously.
- Seeking out neighborhood activities such as classes, playgroups, and outings.
- Making connections with other nannies to arrange playdates and help build a social circle for the children.
- Establishing and adhering to each child's schedule, including naps and sleep routines, bath time, meals, and activities.
- Actively facilitating intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, reading, enrichment, games, and active play).
- Actively facilitating physical development (e.g., running, climbing, stacking, using utensils) in a high-energy, creative, and playful way.
- Actively facilitating social development for both children, helping to build friendships and attending playdates and classes.
- Managing all aspects of both children's care with cleanliness and organization, including meals, snacks and cleanup, laundry, hanging and folding clothes, cleaning toys and books, strollers, and diaper bags.
- Performing light housekeeping, including tidying common areas, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and keeping shared spaces orderly.
- Modeling consideration of others and respect for the family's home and other shared spaces.A genuine desire to become part of the family, enjoy the children, and invest in both children's happiness and development.
Qualifications:
- U.S. work authorization required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must be passport-ready and willing to travel.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional, full-time childcare experience.
- Minimum of 3 exceptional professional references.
- Infant and toddler experience is a must.
- College education is preferred in a relevant field (e.g., Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology).
- Up to date on all vaccinations (e.g., Tdap, flu vaccine, etc.).
- Covid vaccinated and boosted.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Able to swim.
Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
