Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering components to restore vehicle functionality.
- Service vehicle systems including oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tire service to maintain optimal vehicle performance.
- Repair or replace auto body components and perform welding tasks as needed to ensure vehicle integrity.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other electronic systems to enhance vehicle safety features.
- Maintain detailed repair records, prepare estimates for auto repairs using auto estimating software, and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle needs.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrain components.
- Familiarity with schematics reading and automotive diagnostics equipment is essential.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is advantageous.
- Ability to perform oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement efficiently.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and welding techniques is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment required for various repair tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
