Case Manager Supervisor – Semi-Independent Living (SIL) & Independent Living Programs
Reports To: Director of Operations
Position Summary
The Case Manager Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Semi-Independent Living (SIL) and Independent Living Programs serving youth ages 14–19. This position provides supervision, coaching, and support to Case Managers while ensuring quality services, compliance with agency policies and Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing requirements, and positive outcomes for youth.
This is a working supervisor position. The Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for supervising, coaching, and supporting Case Managers while providing direct assistance with case management duties as needed to ensure quality services, continuity of care, and effective program operations. The supervisor is expected to work alongside staff and may perform essential Case Manager responsibilities when necessary but does not maintain an ongoing assigned caseload..
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate Case Managers.
- Conduct staff supervision, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, orientation, and staff development.
- Monitor staff performance, documentation, and service delivery.
- Assist with scheduling, workload distribution, and coverage.
- Address performance concerns and recommend corrective action when appropriate.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform essential Case Manager responsibilities as needed to support staff, ensure continuity of services, provide coverage during staff absences, and meet the operational needs of the program.
- Complete assessments, Individual Service Plans (ISPs), case notes, monthly summaries, and other required documentation.
- Conduct home, school, and community visits.
- Coordinate services that support education, employment, housing, healthcare, behavioral health, transportation, and independent living.
- Monitor youth progress and update service plans as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and safety planning.
- Collaborate with youth, families, guardians, probation officers, schools, employers, and community providers.
- Review case files to ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, confidentiality standards, and Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing requirements.
- Prepare reports and complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates with three (3) or more years of relevant experience in child welfare, case management, behavioral health, independent living, or related social services may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years working with adolescents or young adults in child welfare, foster care, behavioral health, juvenile justice, independent living, or related human services.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Licenses & Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Proof of automobile insurance.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (required or obtained within agency timeframes).
- Successful criminal background check.
- Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours as needed.
