BridgePointe Assisted Living Facility is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient Direct Care Worker/Companion Aide (PART-TIME) to provide non-medical assistance and companionship to our residents. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors and is committed to promoting their comfort, dignity, and quality of life in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility as needed.
- Encourage resident participation in recreational and social activities.
- Assist with meal setup, feeding (when appropriate), and hydration reminders.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment.
- Assist with light housekeeping and laundry related to resident care.
- Escort residents to appointments, activities, and dining areas within the facility.
- Document care and services provided according to facility policies.
- Follow all infection control, safety, and resident rights regulations.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and person-centered care at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in assisted living, home health, nursing homes, or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- HHA, CNA, or PCA certification is a plus.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or to obtain).
- Level II Background Screening.
- Reliable, compassionate, dependable, and professional.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents safely.
Schedule:
- Part-time
- Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available.
- Approximately 20–30 hours per week.
