Parts & Service Manager – Powersports Dealership
Azzy Powersports – Effort, PA
Full-Time | Management Position
Azzy Powersports is a fast-growing powersports dealership looking for an experienced, highly organized Parts & Service Manager to take ownership of our parts and service operations.
This is not a position for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. We need a hands-on leader who can create structure, develop repeatable systems, keep technicians productive, and ensure customers receive consistent communication and service.
The right person will have the authority and support to build a department that operates efficiently as our dealership continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the parts and service departments
- Schedule, assign, and monitor repair jobs for technicians
- Ensure technicians have the correct parts, information, and instructions before beginning each job
- Keep work moving through the shop and prevent jobs from sitting unnecessarily
- Track open repair orders, backordered parts, special orders, and job completion dates
- Communicate repair status, delays, estimates, and completion timelines to customers
- Order parts accurately and maintain proper inventory levels
- Organize and control parts inventory, receiving, stocking, and cycle counts
- Reduce missing parts, duplicate orders, unbilled parts, and unnecessary inventory
- Create cheat sheets, reference guides, Google Drive folders, and standardized processes for frequently used parts and repairs
- Build systems for service intake, technician assignments, parts requests, warranty work, and completed-job inspections
- Work with manufacturers and distributors on parts availability, technical information, and warranty claims
- Review repair orders before closing to ensure all labor, parts, and fees are properly billed
- Track technician productivity, turnaround times, comeback repairs, and department performance
- Help recruit, train, and manage a parts counter employee as the department grows
- Maintain a clean, professional, and organized parts counter, storage area, and service workflow
What We Are Looking For
- Previous parts, service, shop-management, automotive, equipment, or powersports experience
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to create systems instead of relying on memory or verbal instructions
- Comfortable using dealership software, Google Drive, spreadsheets, email, and online parts catalogs
- Ability to prioritize jobs and keep multiple repairs moving at the same time
- Strong understanding of parts ordering and inventory control
- Clear and professional customer communication
- Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a productive work environment
- Willingness to jump in, solve problems, and take ownership of the department
- Powersports knowledge is strongly preferred, but qualified automotive, heavy-equipment, tractor, or equipment-dealership managers are encouraged to apply
This Position Is a Good Fit for Someone Who
- Enjoys turning a disorganized department into a smooth-running operation
- Notices problems before they become emergencies
- Follows up without needing to be reminded
- Documents processes so the department does not depend on one person
- Understands that communication is just as important as completing the repair
- Wants the opportunity to build and lead a department at a rapidly growing dealership
Initial Priorities
During the first several months, the Parts & Service Manager will be expected to:
- Review and organize all open service jobs
- Establish a clear technician scheduling and job-assignment process
- Organize the parts inventory and ordering system
- Create standardized parts and service reference materials
- Improve customer-status communication
- Establish accountability for repair timelines and technician productivity
- Identify staffing needs and assist with hiring a parts counter employee
- Develop a department structure that can support continued dealership growth
Compensation
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Performance incentives available based on department growth and profitability
- Paid time off
- Employee discounts
- Long-term advancement opportunity within a growing dealershipe
