Job Summary
We are seeking Fulltime and Per Diem compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides/ Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and a strong understanding of patient care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of those they assist. This role involves working closely with clients in various settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide personal care services while maintaining the dignity and respect of each individual.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patients' conditions.
- Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans and under supervision when necessary.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or autism.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE Home Health Aide OR Patient Care Aide CERTIFICATE TO APPLY.
- Previous experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred; experience in long-term care, home health, or hospice care is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for patient mobility assistance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
