Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage guest seating efficiently
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining settings
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and other transaction processing tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively with good time management skills in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
- Culinary experience or food industry background is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation management platforms is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales goals
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
