Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Truck Shop Service Advisor to join our team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their trucks into the shop for maintenance and repairs. Your energetic approach will ensure a smooth, efficient process from initial greeting through service completion. You will coordinate with technicians, manage service writing, and upsell additional maintenance or repair services to maximize customer satisfaction and shop productivity. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle needs.
- Clearly communicate service recommendations, estimates, and repair options based on diagnostic assessments.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, track progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services by identifying customer needs and explaining benefits effectively.
- Manage service writing processes including creating detailed work orders, invoicing, and handling auto estimating tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including cash handling and payment processing.
- Stay informed about automotive diagnostics, repairs (such as transmissions, brakes, oil changes, alignments), and current industry best practices to advise customers confidently.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and customer relations.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repairs including diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, air brakes, shocks & struts, tire service, and auto body repair.
- Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing to accurately document repairs and generate estimates.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to upsell services while maintaining customer trust.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and vehicle maintenance procedures.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
