The Activities Aide assists in providing organized activities that are appropriate to the needs and interests of each resident, encourages their voluntary choice of activities and participation, and promotes and maintains a sense of usefulness to self and others. Prepares initial and quarterly assessments. Maintains attendance sheets. Assists with performance improvement surveys.
Candidates must be willing to gain CNA certification within 6 months of hire into this position. CNA Trainee Classes offered on site; no certification is required to start.
Seeking candidates with former event planning experience and high-level organizational skills.

- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant or become certified within 6 months of date of hire.
- BLS certification required through the RQI system during clinical orientation.

- Experience in long term care setting
Preferred:
- Activities experience or CNA training
SKILLS:
Minimum:
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge about recreational activities
Preferred:
- Knowledge of common physical and mental disorders of the long term care resident
