Overview
Join our friendly and energetic team as a Front of House Team Member and become the welcoming face of our bakery and cafe. In this role, you will deliver exceptional customer service, ensure smooth pastry and beverage operations, and create a bright atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. You will help us serve delicious pastries and coffees with a smile, while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient space.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with menu selections, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Take accurate orders using POS systems
- Package pastry items and/or train to prepare beverages as a barista
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing work areas, and adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist customers with placing cake orders and answering questions
- Prepare syrups and ingredients for the coffee bar accurately
Qualifications
- Previous experience in bakery or cafe settings is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and work ethic is key!
- Must have prior customer service experience
- Familiarity with Square POS system is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively
- Basic math skills are required
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
