We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Clerk to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, processing shipments, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure smooth distribution and order fulfillment. This role requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Warehouse Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels, efficient order picking, and timely dispatch of goods.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinate shipments with carrier via carriers’ online portals
Create packing slips and shipping documentation
Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped
Assist with Inventory management, including cycle counts and inventory consolidation
Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise for processing
Take calls from drivers, ensuring that loads will deliver on time; validate all load data prior to marking loads delivered, for accounting purposes
Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries; verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition.
Complete your work in a safe manner; adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Experience using handheld scanners
- The ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form
- Must be able to lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds
