We are a French Bistro located in the heart of downtown Saint Paul we are inviting the talented food workers to Join our culinary team as a Sandwich and Salad Preparer, where your passion for food and creativity will shine! In this energetic role, you will craft delicious sandwiches, Paninnis and fresh salads that delight our customers and elevate their dining experience. Your expertise in food preparation, safety, and presentation will be essential in delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, Paninis, salads, and other cold food items according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is handled safely, stored properly, and prepared in compliance with health regulations
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new sandwich and salad options to enhance customer choices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Follow food safety protocols diligently during food handling, preparation, and serving processes
- Support catering events or special orders by assembling large quantities of salads or sandwiches efficiently
- Serve customers with enthusiasm, ensuring their orders are accurate and presented attractively
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and kitchen procedures
- Skilled in meal preparation, cooking techniques, knife skills, and food presentation
- Experience with menu planning and catering operations is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
