Role Summary:
The Nail Designer Lead is a critical in-studio role responsible for driving technical excellence, coaching, and development for all Nail Designers. As a working expert in nail artistry, the Nail Designer Lead supports onboarding, ongoing education, and performance coaching to help team members grow through MiniLuxe’s career path—from Level1, to Senior and Expert status. They ensure the studio upholds the highest service, hygiene, and technical standards while fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and artistry.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Education

Lead in-studio onboarding and technical training for new Nail Designers

Deliver ongoing coaching, mentorship, and skill-building sessions for the entire nail team

Partner with the Trainer & Recruiting Lead to ensure all training materials and programs are consistently implemented

Identify technical gaps within the team and provide hands-on coaching to elevate skills and service standards
Talent Development & Career Progression

Guide Nail Designers through the MiniLuxe leveling system (Level 1 to Level 3 to Expert)

Provide clear, actionable feedback to support team members’ growth and advancement

Partner with the Studio Manager and Trainer & Recruiting Lead to assess readiness for promotions and certifications

Maintain a high-performing team with technical excellence at all service levels
Quality & Service Standards

Uphold MiniLuxe’s hygiene protocols, service consistency, and technical artistry

Serve as a technical role model by delivering best-in-class client services while supporting team development

Conduct regular service quality checks to ensure all team members meet MiniLuxe standards

Support Studio Manager with technical aspects of day-to-day operations as needed

Ensure all tools needed for services are always kept inbestconditionpossible
Qualifications:

Proven technical expertise in nail services, ideally at a Level 3 or Expert standard within MiniLuxe or a comparable environment

Passion for coaching, education, and building others’ skills

Effective communication, leadership, and mentorship abilities

Commitment to hygiene, service excellence, and maintaining MiniLuxe’s Clean Culture

Ability to balance hands-on client work with team coaching responsibilities
