Job Summary
XOXO Cleaning Co. is looking for experienced, reliable, and detail-oriented residential cleaners to join our growing local team.
We believe a clean home should feel calm, comfortable, and cared for. Our cleaners do more than complete a checklist—we bring a little love and attention to every detail while providing clients with a warm, professional experience.
This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor opportunity for cleaners with at least 3 years of professional residential cleaning experience. You will have the ability to accept cleaning projects that fit your schedule while XOXO Cleaning Co. handles marketing, client bookings, scheduling, and customer support.
Pay is $27–$30 per hour based on experience, reliability, quality of work, communication, and overall performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform standard residential cleanings, deep cleanings, and move-in/move-out cleanings
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms
- Dust furniture, fixtures, baseboards, blinds, and other household surfaces as requested
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors using products appropriate for each surface
- Clean mirrors, interior glass, and accessible interior windows
- Follow the service details and priorities provided for each client
- Complete cleaning projects efficiently within the scheduled timeframe
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients and the XOXO team
- Maintain a dependable, friendly, and professional presence inside clients’ homes
- Take before-and-after photos when requested for quality control
- Keep personal cleaning supplies and equipment clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Report any damage, safety concerns, or client issues promptly
- Provide consistent, high-quality service with close attention to the little details
Some experienced team members may also have opportunities to assist with organizing and seasonal decorating projects as their skills and strengths are demonstrated.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of professional residential cleaning experience
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Reliable, punctual, honest, and dependable
- Friendly and professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in occupied homes and around pets
- Positive attitude and willingness to communicate with the team
- Experience with recurring cleanings, deep cleans, and move-in/move-out services preferred
- Ability to follow client instructions while using good professional judgment
REQUIREMENTS
- Reliable personal vehicle and transportation
- Smartphone with access to text and email
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must understand that this is a 1099 independent contractor position
- Must be available for at least 1–2 cleaning projects per week
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have access to professional cleaning supplies and equipment, or be willing to obtain them before accepting jobs
- Ability to travel throughout Contra Costa County, Solano County, and surrounding service areas
