Wellness Director / Director of Nursing Assisted Living
The Reserve at Brentwood is a 54 apartment Assisted Living and Memory Care community located in Sagamore Hills, OH.
We are looking for a responsible and organized individual to join our team as the Director of Nursing / Wellness Director. The Wellness Director / Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of resident services at the community. Our Wellness Director / Director of Nursing supervises all Wellness team members. This is a leadership position within the community, and serves as manager on duty in the absence of the Executive Director. Responsibilities include, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Qualifications and Required Experience for Wellness Director / Director of Nursing (DON):
· RN or LPN license.
· 1+ year of experience in Assisted Living or Skilled nursing needed
· Ensure compliance within state guidelines and regulations
· Experience with dementia care or dementia unit preferred
Primary Responsibilities for Wellness Director / Director of Nursing:
· Involves demonstrating excellent customer service
· Familiar with state regulations governing Assisted Living, ensuring compliance in department.
· Manages staffing and expenses
· Provide ongoing reports to the Executive Director concerning the operation of the Nursing Department
· Ensure all charting and medication administration is being followed and documented
· Provides on call back-up to community when not on duty.
· Provides assessments of current and potential new residents to the community
· Ensure outstanding and appropriate care is delivered while adhering to community policy, regulation, and law.
· Implement staff training programs and ensure staff skills are up to date.
· Ensure all Health and Wellness staff complete mandatory training.
· Monitor licensure and certification compliance for all Wellness staff.
