Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companions to provide high-quality personal care and support to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents or clients through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. Duties
- This is a live-in job (4-6 days)
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, reporting any concerns promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Assist with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely for resident transfers
- Support residents with mobility exercises and assistive device usage
- Document patient care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies
- Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures when necessary
Skills
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred, we also train so if you have little or no experience you shall be trained
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring direct support
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor vital signs and detect health changes
- Proficiency in medication administration and understanding of care plans
- Compassionate communication skills tailored to seniors or individuals with cognitive impairments
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Experience working with residents’ or similar personal histories is a plus
