Job Summary
IR practice looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room staff. Practice limited to Diaylsis Interventions.
Full-Time only, M-F, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. Your expertise will support minimally invasive procedures, including catheterizations, biopsies, and advanced imaging interventions.
Duties
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by conducting thorough assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physiology knowledge.
- Administer medications, including sedation as prescribed, following strict protocols for medication administration..
- Monitor patients’ vital signs continuously using EHR / Mindray interface.
- Maintain strict infection control practices and aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent infection transmission.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all patient information at all times.
Experience
- Valid NJ RN license
- Prior OR experience in interventional radiology or similar procedural environments is essential; familiarity with OR aseptic techniques is required.
- Experience working with EHR systems like eCW
- ACLS & BLS
