Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to help them find products that meet their needs.
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and proper usage through engaging product demos and clear communication.
- Operate the TREEZ POS system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Maintain accurate stock levels by merchandising products attractively, stocking shelves regularly, and organizing displays to enhance sales.
- Upsell products by highlighting new arrivals, promotions, or complementary items to maximize customer satisfaction and store revenue.
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies related to cannabis sales, including verifying customer IDs and age restrictions.
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock counts, product rotation, and recording sales data using retail math principles.
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or scheduling appointments, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Support supervisory staff with training new team members or supervising daily store operations when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly desirable; familiarity with POS systems is essential. Familiarity with TREEZ POS is a bonus.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product details and answer customer questions effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse customer needs better.
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to enhance customer engagement.
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math for accurate inventory management.
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to build lasting relationships with clients.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing retail sales data confidently.
- Previous grocery store or retail experience involving cash handling, cashiering, or retail transactions is advantageous.
