Duties
- Lead the preparation and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate served
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, coordinating tasks to optimize workflow and efficiency
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
- Train and mentor team members on food preparation, knife skills, cooking methods, and food safety protocols
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver seamless service experiences for guests
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles within a healthcare or hospitality setting is preferred
- Extensive culinary experience in fine dining environments with strong food preparation and cooking skills
- Demonstrated expertise in menu planning, catering, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience with leadership responsibilities as a lead or supervisor
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food service standards, and customer satisfaction principles
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
