Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts and components. This is a vital role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate HAAS Verticle CNC maching centers
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Program machines
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain product specifications
- Troubleshoot issues with machines or tooling to minimize downtime
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred to have 2 years of experience as a CNC Machinist
- Tool and Die background helpful
- Proficient in basic math calculations
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining principles
- Experience with plastics injection molding is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges
- Ability to operate and program CNC machines
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
