Contract Specialist

Purpose of the position
The Contract Specialist is the support position to the Contract Manager for the maintenance of the contracted service provider network and the Request for Proposals (RFP) process. Maintenance of Direct Purchase of Service (DPOS) files. Maintenance of AASA subcontractor files. Assists with approval and reconciliation of local funding requests. Participate in Assessment of Subcontractors and Provider Monitoring of DPOS providers. Participate in the provider new open process. Coordinate the Request for Proposal process. Updates the Service Provider Operational Manual as needed. Coordinates service provider complaints and grievances. Plan and participate in departmental and other ad hoc meetings. Participate in staff development and community education/outreach activities as assigned.
Requirements for this position
- Possession of an Associate’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience as acquired with one to two years relevant work experience in an office setting.
- He/She must be willing and able to travel within all ten counties of the region (and at times out of region) in reliable transportation.
- Has highly developed computer, administrative, organizational, telephone, and interpersonal skills to meet the demands of this position.
