Duties
- Safely operate company box trucks and delivery vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Load, unload, and deliver appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens to customer locations
- Install appliances accurately using hand tools, power tools, and technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems
- Troubleshoot equipment issues on-site by diagnosing mechanical or electrical problems and performing necessary repairs or adjustments
- Follow schematics, technical diagrams, and installation instructions to ensure proper setup of appliances
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining appliance features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon delivery
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on delivery equipment and report any mechanical or operational issues promptly
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and installation techniques
- Proficiency with schematics, electrical work, plumbing connections, and refrigeration systems
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Experience with equipment troubleshooting to identify issues quickly and perform repairs on-site
- Familiarity with MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) practices for maintaining delivery tools and vehicles
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent customer service skills with clear communication abilities to enhance the delivery experience
