Diesel Mechanic
Location: Kalamazoo, MI 49048
Schedule: Full-time / Benefitted Position / Pay D.O.E.

Are you currently certified with the State of Michigan/passed the Heavy Duty Mechanic's test?
Established family-owned trucking company in Kalamazoo is hiring for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to round out our current team. Our mechanics play a critical role to ensure our drivers have safe and reliable equipment. This position is overtime eligible. We are open to Diesel Tech and/or Mechanic to add to the team.
The Work You will be performing mechanical, service repairs, and maintenance on diesel semi-trucks, trailers, liftgates, and other company equipment. Work hours pick up in the peak seasons (March-June & Sept-Oct) and revert to normal hours in the off seasons. Saturday hours may be required as needed.

Desired Qualifications
Safety-oriented, team player, motivated, comfortable using computers and computer systems to enter and track work, organized, ability to multi-task, patience & a "can-do" attitude. Certification a plus!
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a minimum of basic hand tools.
- Prefer one year of heavy duty mechanic experience, or more.
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.)
- Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high.
- Must be able to work in all types of environment including, heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
- Must have safety shoes or boots with a minimum of safety toe and slip resistant.
- Must be able to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends during peak seasons.
- Valid driver’s license. Class A CDL a plus!
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Pay is D.O.E.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
