Job Summary
Come join ROJANE LLC as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely within your local-regional area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate one of our tractor trailers with flatbeds ensuring timely delivery of goods to our valued customers. As a key player in our logistics operation, you will be responsible for transporting freight via tractor-trailers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in route driving, load & unload procedures, and truck driving will be instrumental in keeping our supply chain moving smoothly. Other than securing the load, this is no tarp freight. HOME DAILY - NO WEEKENDS
Pay is 25-30% of the load hauled (based on experience)
Clean MVR and 2+ years experience is needed.
Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks including manual transmission tractor-trailers, flatbeds, for local-regional deliveries
- Load and unload freight efficiently using forklift or manual methods while ensuring cargo integrity
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Plan and follow optimized routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards
- Deliver freight directly to customer locations, ensuring accurate handling of goods such as freight on flatbeds.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on route driving and local-regional deliveries
- Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks
- Knowledgeable about freight handling techniques including load & unload procedures for variations of steel cargo
- Familiar with working with flatbeds (Conestoga and covered wagon)
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo securement
- Excellent navigation skills for efficient route planning within local areas
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
