Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload various items using proper manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies
- Assist with packing belongings securely for transport to prevent damage during transit
- Operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws
- Drive route trucks responsibly, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Load and unload items efficiently, ensuring safe lifting practices are followed to prevent injuries
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs
- Maintain cleanliness of trucks, tools, and work areas to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with experience driving box trucks or commercial trucks; experience with personal vehicle delivery is a plus
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations, including adherence to DOT standards and safe driving practices
- Experience with delivery driving, route driving, or courier services is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; manual handling skills are essential
- Comfortable operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and manual transmission vehicles
- Strong physical stamina for manual lifting, moving heavy items, and performing manual handling tasks throughout the day
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients
- Familiarity with mobile devices for route navigation or communication purposes is advantageous
