Primary Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Production Manager, the position holder is responsible for the creation and maintenance of production schedules which meet customer demands while optimizing resources. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure orders are fulfilled on time and within budget.
Responsibilities

Develops and maintains an effective production plan for the area of responsibility (Die Cast, Secondary and Remelt operations) which will ensure customer order requests are successfully achieved while optimizing resources.

Communicate status updates and potential issues to the Production Manager and other stakeholders as needed.

Documents key information, including downtime, peak production, inventory accuracy, and scheduling accuracy; and works with personnel to analyze and create enhanced functionality in manufacturing applications.
Education, experience, skills

Associates (or higher) degree in a supply chain or business discipline or Technical College diploma (CET or similar) or equivalent educational and work experience in a similar role

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or other related field

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in production planning or related field

Experience with ERP systems (Plex preferred) and production scheduling software

Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) and tracking systems (Plex Preferred)
