Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tables in a fast-paced environment. This role involves delivering high-quality service in a fine dining setting, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is preferred, along with a strong background in hospitality and food industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are followed at all times
- Assist with guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide exceptional customer service
- Clear tables efficiently, bussing as needed to maintain cleanliness
- Manage guest relations to foster repeat business and positive reviews
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and process payments securely
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is preferred
- Experience in culinary arts, food preparation, or hospitality roles will be advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively
- Experience with cashiering, cash handling, and basic math for accurate billing and change-making
- Previous host/host or bussing experience is a plus for team-oriented environments
