QUALIFICATIONS
SEVERAL OPENINGS AVAILABLE Must be at least 16 years of age or older. Candidates must have prior dance experience or experience working with children. Availability to work at all locations; Prisco Community Center, Eola Community Center, and Vaughan Athletic Center. Strong communications and organization skills are essential. Individual should be enthusiastic, creative and a team player who enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities. Please provide Resume and certifications.
DUTIES
Under the direction and supervision of the Recreation Supervisor and Dance Coordinator, the Dance Instructor is responsible for instructing class lessons as assigned, assist in preparation of lesson plans and developing positive relationships with participants and patrons. Individual will be responsible for following all safety procedures, participating in staff meetings and trainings, general classroom management, skills instruction, instruction of routines, and participation in seasonal Dance Showcases and Spring Dance Recital as scheduled/needed. During the recital session, instructors are responsible for selecting music and costumes, assisting in measuring dancers, assisting in handing out costumes and any information regarding pictures, rehearsal and recital. Assistance with recruiting parent volunteers for rehearsal and recital is also required. Advanced Level Instructors are required to teach up to Level 4 in 3 disciplines. Additional duties may be available regarding private lessons and/or birthday parties. This is an at-will position.
