New Wave Recovery Center is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and experienced Primary Therapist with a minimum LADC 1 to join our growing outpatient Substance Use Disorder treatment team. The Primary Therapist is responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy while developing individualized treatment plans that promote long-term recovery and overall wellness.
Our program embraces a whole-person approach to recovery, recognizing that healing occurs through addressing the mind, body, and spirit. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals overcome substance use disorders while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Essential Responsibilities
-Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations.
-Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans. Facilitate evidence-based process and psychoeducational groups.
-Provide individual counseling sessions based on clinical need.
-Conduct family sessions when clinically appropriate.
-Maintain a primary caseload of clients enrolled in PHP, IOP, and OP services.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
-Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
-Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, outside providers, probation officers, and referral sources.
-Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
- Assist with discharge planning and continuing care recommendations. Perform crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary.
-Maintain compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable confidentiality regulations.
-Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements
-Minimum of an active LADC I license in the state of Massachusetts. -Experience working with individuals diagnosed with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
-Strong understanding of ASAM criteria, treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards.
-Experience facilitating individual, group, and family therapy.
-Strong experience with evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed
Pay: $68,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
