American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Illinois, welcoming first-time travelers with at least 1 year of ED experience and night shift availability.

Work in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department
-
Treats all patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
-
Patient presentations include the full spectrum of ED diagnoses including CVA, ortho-trauma, head injury, near drowning, and all standard emergency conditions

12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12 schedule)

Every third weekend required

Medication dispensing via Pyxis

Documentation via MediTech EMR
-
Communication via Vocera system
-
13-week contract
-
Active IL RN license required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
-
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
-
Experience in a combined adult/pediatric ED required
-
Proficiency in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Experience with blood product administration, central line care/management, and phlebotomy
-
Skilled in IV insertion, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressor administration, and procedural sedation

Experience with ABG interpretation and isolation precautions

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Navy blue scrubs required

Maximum of 5 days of RTO for the contract; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
