About Us
Coachella Community Pharmacy is a new independent retail pharmacy being established in Coachella, California. We are currently seeking a licensed California pharmacist to assist with the pharmacy licensing process and serve as the designated pharmacist for state regulatory requirements during the startup phase.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist interested in joining a new pharmacy from the ground up and potentially transitioning into a long-term staff pharmacist or Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role once the pharmacy becomes operational.
Position Overview
The selected pharmacist will assist with licensing-related requirements necessary to obtain pharmacy licensure from the California State Board of Pharmacy and will provide professional guidance during the startup process.
Upon successful licensing and opening of the pharmacy, the pharmacist may be offered a permanent employment opportunity, subject to mutual agreement.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pharmacy licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in preparation for California Board of Pharmacy inspection.
- Provide guidance regarding pharmacy operations and compliance.
- Assist with policy and procedure development as needed.
- Collaborate with ownership during the startup process.
- Potentially serve in a future Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) capacity.
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacist License in good standing.
- Knowledge of California Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Independent retail pharmacy experience preferred.
- Previous PIC experience is a plus but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with new pharmacy openings.
Future Opportunity
This position is intended to support the licensing and startup phase of the pharmacy. Following successful licensure and opening, there may be an opportunity for ongoing employment as a staff pharmacist or Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
